Master's work: «Use of waste carpet production for cleaning oily water».
At present, with the development of numerous industrial enterprises, environmental pollution by various petroleum products is occurring, which has a negative impact on living organisms and leads to the contamination of water resources and other problems.
Purifying wastewater from pollutants is a complex process that requires a phased approach, as by-products can be hazardous, toxic, and even explosive. One of the promising and interesting technologies in purification is the use of sorbents made from artificial and natural materials.
This study investigated the possibility of using ugar and knop waste (ugar and knop are waste products from carpet production, formed during the cleaning of wool contaminated with plant residues) as sorbents for removing oils from aqueous media.
